Our excursions range from a gentle farm meander by horse back to meet our farm animals and get a taste of farm life, to an adventurous half day ride into the hills, splashing through rivers or up to hill tops with panorama views to watch the sunset. Our healthy horses are fresh and willing. We provide you with a high standard of premises, equipment and overall safety. This includes helmets and Driza-bone riding coats for wet weather.
Stonehurst Farm guides were the first in New Zealand to achieve the official Qualmark NZ Horse Trekking qualification so our equestrian ability and interpretative skills are excellent.
We also offer boutique farm studio accommodation on site. This is ideal for couples and families looking for an authentic taste of New Zealand rural life.
