Stonehurst Farm Riding Centre is dedicated to providing an exceptional environment for those who wish to learn and enjoy the pleasures and benefits of horse riding.

Riding Centre Horses

Stonehurst Riding Centre is proud of its quality herd, handpicked with our students in mind.

There are two types of horses available for students. The absolute beginner pony / hack that is chosen for their quiet reliable and easy going temperament.

As the riders confidence, skill, ability and bravery increases we have the more free moving but obedient horses for them to progress onto. The horses are a selection of crossbred ponies and hacks making them a temperament desirable for a riding school.

	Height: 13.2hh Colour: Buckskin Breed: Riding pony cross Comments: Great canter and jumping pony, very kind and willing, loves to please his riders.
	Height: 14hh Colour: Chestnut Breed: Arab Comments: Chilli is a very attractive pony with big paces. He has been introduced to his job carefully and he is now starting to shine. The more experienced riders are gaining great benefit from his youth and enthusiasm.
	Height: 12.2 hh Colour: Chestnut Breed: Welsh Comments: Leroy is our newest addition to the Riding School. He has a great temperament, very smooth paces and a tidy little jump.
	Height:15.3hh Colour: Bay Breed: TB Comments: Josh is a TB gelding who was purchased after filming Lord of The Rings. Josh is an experienced gentleman who can teach from the basic movements to higher level dressage and jumping.
	Height: 14.1 hh Colour: Black roan Breed: Stationbred Comments: Sparky is a very good experienced jumping pony and is a great pony for a confident rider.
	Height: 12hh Colour: Bay Breed: Welsh Comments: Thomas is ideal for young children starting out on their riding careers. He has smooth paces and a huge personality.
	Height:16.1hh Colour: Grey Breed: Percheron cross Comments: Percy is our Lord of the Rings star. He is a very kind, willing horse who is a fantastic beginners horse and is now in semi retirement.
	Height:14.1hh Colour: Grey Breed: Arab/ Lippizanner cross Comments: Bugsy is a schoolmaster originally from Auckland and is a very experienced competition pony who can offer his riders a safe and confidence building experience
	Height: 15.3 Colour: Chestnut Breed: TB Comments: A true gentleman. Nudge has the true ability to perform to his rider's ability. Great paces - he's a lovely horse to ride. Very popular with our riders.
	Height: 14.2hh Colour: Chestnut Breed: Arab X Comments: Pheonix is a very experienced dressage and jumping pony. Suitable for all levels of rider.
