

Laurence
and Suzanne Max are the 6th generation owners of Stonehurst
Farm. The couple live in an old farmhouse with their children Laurence's father Gordon, retired in 1982.
The 1980s were a time of major change in New Zealand agriculture.
Stonehurst was considered too small a unit to be economic however
Suzanne and Laurence decided to think laterally to secure an income
and their home for future generations.
Today, Stonehurst Farm is a diversified rural business, and the
Max's are looking after all their varied interests.
Laurence's main responsibilities are the management of the farm
and horses, as well as the development and maintenance of the facilities.
Suzanne has responsibility for the marketing and management of
the Horse Treks and the Farm Studio accomodation.
