For the first time at Stonehurst Farm, your equine specialists, we’re please to welcome Rebecca Cooper. Rebecca is an Emmett Practitioner for Equines and Emmett4Horses tutor. An ISBT Equine and Canine Bowen Therapist and Consultant for the Equine Soundness School.
Rebecca’s soft tissue therapy does not replace Veterinary care but is an extremely effective therapy as an adjunct to veterinary treatment.
A lifetime spent riding, working with and watching horses, allows Rebecca a unique insight into equine biomechanics, interaction with the rider and the effects of differing training techniques upon the horse.
This insight often provides clues to unsoundness that may have otherwise been overlooked. Has your horse had long term issues that have not been resolved? Or have you recently noticed someting amiss, some unusual behaviour?
More often than not poor performance and ‘temperament’ issues are blamed on the horse’s attitude – he must be ‘pushed through’ or ‘made to do it’. However, Rebecca finds that pain and the inability to physically achieve what is asked is the cause of most issues.
How Rebecca helps your horse.
Muscle spasm and strain (both recent and long term)
Sinus and lymphatic drainage
General wellbeing and improved performance – particularly beneficial for show, competition, agility and working animals.
Provides relief with degenerative conditions
Aids with rehabilitation and recovery after surgical procedures
Improvement of behavioural issues
