Welcome to Stonehurst Farm Equestrian
Our facilities are available for casual hire to individuals or groups from any discipline. You are able to bring your horse and use our facilities, 7 days a week. You are welcome to bring your own instructor or have a lesson with one of our instructors or hire the facility to hose a clinic, training day or seminar.
Facilities available are:
Arena 1:
80 x 40m show jumping/dressage arena with jumps and viewing mound. This arena has just been up-graded and re-surfaced. It has a hardfill base incorporating a herringbone drainage system. Crusher dust was then laid and levelled and compacted. The riding surface is 50-60 mm of Aluvial river sand. This gives cushioning and doesn’t compact or pack in hooves. We groom this arena weekly or as required. This arena incorporates a dressage area and new show jumps.
Arena 2:
All purpose arena 65m x 35m – This arena has screened, worked soil. All stone removed down to 10mm. It has stock yard type railing. It is all purpose but perfect for western or natural disciplines including barrel racing and clinics of up to 15 riders. We host cattle handling clinics in the summer.
Arena 3:
30m round arena – This round sand arena has double rail sides and is a great size for lessons, lunging and warm-up. It opens directly onto the jumping arena.
Arena 4:
18m round starting arena – sand with high plywood sides.. A very safe, contained option with a viewing/instructor platform. Perfect for liberty work, starting a horse and ground work.

Lectures, Clinics, Training Days, Seminars & Demonstrations
Stonehurst is well set up for clinics, training days with all facilities available for your event.
These facilities include the use of any of the arena’s, jumps, classroom, toilet & kitchen facilities, two picnic area’s, viewing mound, float parking and holding pens. Clubs are more than welcome to come and use our facilities for events and rallies.

Farm Riding
We have a variety of farm trails and places to ride including riding through bush down to the river where you can swim your horse. There is a nice 5km country road circuit with good wide grass verges. Adjoining Stonehurst Farm is a 250ha hill country farm that provides extensive trails on a variety of terrain with a beautiful river boundary.
